Situated on an expansive bushland site at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, this project sought to transform an ageing family home while retaining its established character and exceptional connection to the surrounding landscape.

Rather than pursuing a complete rebuild, the design focused on carefully considered interventions — reconfiguring internal spaces to better support contemporary family living, while strengthening the relationship between the house and its generous garden setting.

Works included a comprehensive renovation of the kitchen, laundry and bathrooms, extension of the dining area, a new first-floor bathroom, bespoke joinery throughout, and replacement of selected windows and doors to improve natural light and ventilation.

Externally, a generous rear entertaining deck with pergola and integrated barbecue area created a seamless transition to the bushland reserve beyond. A new front entry sequence, contemporary fencing and gates, rendered lower façade and refreshed upper cladding provided the home with a more cohesive and contemporary architectural identity.

The project progressed through concept design and Development Application documentation.
